Her KarismaKatz CD 'JAZZ' is 11 beautiful standards and originals, most with a gentle swing and a whole lotta schmooze. Naturally there is a Blues influence there - Dorothy-Jane always comes home to the Blues! She hopes you enjoy these tracks.

About Mike Dooley:
Mike hails from Canberra, where early interests included playing jazz and classical piano. He studied classical composition at Sydney Conservatorium, before spending several decades overseas doing humanitarian and musical activities in a number of countries, including Thailand, Jordan and Lebanon. In Jordan he was musical director of a singing and dance troupe that specialized in Arabic folk and contemporary music and was very active performing at local festivals and recorded an entire album of original Middle Eastern style songs. He also worked as a music therapist for recovering drug addicts in Lebanon. Mike has composed a number of children's songs for a successful US network TV shows, several albums of ambient piano music and is currently active composing film scores for a US based company. Recently he was commissioned to compose an album of incidental piano music by a two time Emmy award composer. Since returning to Canberra in 2010 he has been active as a jazz and blues pianist in several bands that have performed at numerous local venues and festivals. He is currently completing an advanced diploma of music performance at Canberra Institute of Technology.
